Kansas City second baseman Nate Eaton had to throw an inning in the Royals blowout loss to the Texas Rangers and was tossing absolute GAS

The Kansas City Royals called upon second baseman Nate Eaton to pitch the bottom of the eighth inning after being down 11-2 to the Texas Rangers.
The result was Nate Eaton throwing absolute GAS, surprising everyone who watched while going viral on Twitter last night.
Nate Eaton: GAS
Eaton, who is batting just .059 (1-17) in the early goings of the 2023 season, might be looking at a position change in the near future if he can’t get things going at the plate for the Royals.Â
I mean it literally can’t get any worse for the Kansas City Royals.
Zack Greinke tossed five innings last night, allowing six hits, three earned runs, and a walk while striking out three. Dylan Coleman then entered in relief, pitching just 0.2 innings while allowing two hits, six earned runs, and four walks while striking out just one. Jose Cuas then pitched 1.1 innings allowing a hit and a run while striking out one.
From there, it was Nate Eaton who threw a scoreless inning while allowing two hits and striking out one.Â
Just looking at everyone else who pitched last night and the fact that the Kansas City Royals are a dismal 3-8 on the year, sitting in fourth place in the AL Central, Eaton all of the sudden looks like a promising bullpen arm for the regular season.Â
