Russell Westbrook arguing with Phoenix Suns fan
There’s a lot going on in this video but really, no one seems happy with the guy who was sitting on the couch, so he’s obviously in the wrong here.
Also, it’s Russell Westbrook. If you’re a basketball fan then you know damn well he’s not just going to let someone talk shit to him without saying anything back. Even saying anything to him proves this is exactly what the fan wanted to happen in the first place.
Why even provoke him?
For anyone blaming Russell Westbrook. Sorry, but as usual, you’re completely wrong. This drunk guy is sitting on the couch and decides to start chirping at Russ while he’s walking back out to the court?
Grow up dude.

“Take it like a man.”
Yeah okay buddy. Westbrook is just out there trying to play basketball and you’re some out of shape adult sitting on a couch and drinking an adult beverage. Give it a rest already.
At The Wells Fargo Center, they have a similar set up with the Center City Club, which is court level and shares an entrance back out to the arena with the 76ers’ locker room and hallway. The media room is right back there as well and they even have an exercise bike that at times, players will hop on if they pull something during the game.
You just don’t go talk to the players. If a member of the Sixers is entering or exiting the tunnel, then fans are told to wait. It’s really not that wild of a concept.
Then of course, you have this poor kid just sitting there eating a steak with no utensils. Can someone please help him out? Who knows if he actually had them and was just terrified that this guy, drunk, (maybe his dad?) was saying shit to Westbrook that he just decided to look down and eat directly from the plate in full panic mode, or if he really didn’t have an utensils while a bunch of grown adults were yelling around him.

Weird scene for sure, but at the end of the night, Westbrook and the Clippers got the last laugh, stealing Game 1 from the Suns 115-110.
Russ was horrible from the floor, shooting just 3-of-19 for 9 points, but he made two clutch free throws at the end of the game while adding 11 rebounds, eight assists, two steals, and two blocks to the box score. One of the blocks, sealed the victory for the Clippers in the final seconds.
