Jimmy Butler drops 56 points and immediately says Joel Embiid is MVP after unreal performance

Jimmy Butler went absolutely ballistic tonight. He scorched the Bucks for 56 points and the victory, drawing MVP chants from the Heat faithful. But even after his herculean performance, he only wanted to sing the praises of one man: Joel Embiid.
Jimmy Butler: “I don’t know about MVP. I think that’s Joel.”
What an unreal move from Jimmy. He just set a franchise record for scoring in a playoff game to take a 3-1 lead in front of his home fans, and all he could do when asked about MVP chants is tell the truth.
I would’ve understood if he was like “hell yeah I’m MVP,” and a younger Jimmy might have. But this dude is class all the way, and he knows greatness when he sees it.
Embiid was also showing his buddy Jimmy Butler some love.
Of course, the two got along famously well during Butler’s brief time in Philadelphia. Unfortunately, events occurred and the Sixers gave Tobias Harris $180 million and swapped Jimmy for Josh Richardson in a sign and trade.
It hurts too much to think about.
Instead, the two best friends were no more than two ships passing in the night, briefly seeing the other’s beacon across the depths, only to lose sight of each other and be left with nothing more than a whisper of a memory. The very definition of “what could have been.”
