Trae Young hits deep game-winner against Celtics, drops 38 points to extend series and Joel Embiid’s rest time

Trae Young hit an unreal game-winner against the Celtics in Game 5 to extend the series to a minimum of six games. More importantly, however, is that the Hawks beating Boston gives the Sixers and the banged-up Joel Embiid extra recovery time, which we all know is desperately needed.
Trae Young pulled up from deep to make the series 3-2:
The play was incredible, don’t get me wrong. Trae hitting that shot had me jump out of my seat.
Of course, it wasn’t because I was thrilled the Hawks won or that the Celtics lost. I was solely focused on that shot adding recovery time for our beloved Joel Embiid.
It’s been reported he’ll be playing in the second round with a brace due to an LCL sprain, so every extra day is precious. With this result, the Sixers aren’t slated to play until Monday, giving Embiid in the team over a week of rest.
Eight days of total rest for the Sixers. 10 for Embiid. For All Things Holy.
Joel Embiid was tuning in while resting up and seemed to like what he saw out of Trae Young and the Hawks. The Big Fella tweeted out his stamp of approval and, most likely, some appreciation as well.
Behold, the second-round schedule Trae Young built:
