Man dressed as Charles Barkley for Broad Street Run dribbles into the history books with sub-8 minute mile pace

It was once again time for the Broad Street Run in Philadelphia this weekend, and runners came out in droves to test their mettle in the distance run. However, while most chose to don standard running attire to participate, one man rose above the rest in both style and difficulty level.
Some guy dressed as Charles Barkley dribbled a basketball for the entire Broad Street Run… at a sub-8 minute mile pace:
Wow. What an absolute hero. In a time of darkness surrounding the Sixers brand, he donned his vintage jersey and made a stand for ten straight miles.
Of course, nobody thought for a second this was the real Charles Barkley. We know better than that at this point.

It really is a wildly impressive feat the more I think about it. I myself am by no means a runner, and dribbling a basketball the whole way adds another layer I can’t particularly comprehend.
It’s hard not to commend him and all those who participated in the Broad Street Run. Hell, the only way you’d see me running down Broad Street is if it’s for my life. And even then, I’d embrace my fate rather quickly.
