KNEE WATCH: Joel Embiid spotted boarding flight to Boston ahead of Game 1

The entire city of Philadelphia has been waiting with bated breath for even the slightest update on Joel Embiid’s knee injury. With the series opener in Boston on Monday, the question of his status looms ever larger. While he was spotted with no brace at shootarounds earlier today, we still did not know for sure if he would be making the trip to potentially play in Game 1
Joel Embiid is, in fact, headed to Boston with the rest of the team, per Anthony Gargano:
While we still don’t know much, many believe this signifies Embiid will be playing at least one game on the road. Optimists like us here at The Liberty Line, however, know this means he’ll be playing in both games and dropping 40 points on both nights.
You can even see he’s got his game-time slippers on. He’s playing in Game 1, and this picture is all I need to confirm that.
Sure, this is the most TMZ-esque shot I’ve seen in Philly media, but I can’t blame Gargano. I bet if he was posted up at the airport with his phone camera 24/7 on like John Clark, I’m sure it would have been a National Geographic-level photo.
Joel Embiid is on his way to Boston. I’m ready for Boston’s downfall, and you should be too.
