Joel Embiid officially wins 2023 NBA MVP

Well, folks, it’s finally happened. Joel Embiid is your NBA MVP.
You heard me. Joel Embiid is your NBA MVP:
If I didn’t have to blog about this, I’d be borderline speechless right now. It’s been such a long journey for Embiid here in Philadelphia, and seeing him reach a summit he should have reached at least once the two seasons prior is so vindicating for both him and his supporters.
This season was full of changes at the top of the MVP ladder, but Jojo came out on top with an absolutely historic season, regardless of whether or not he took home the silverware.
As a result, Joel Embiid dominated the final MVP voting, taking home 73 of a possible 100 first-place votes.

Considering at least two of Jokic’s votes likely came from Chinese media outlet Tencent (based in a country where watching the Sixers is literally illegal), the true tally is even more favorable for Embiid. Even the NBA Deep State could not hold him.
Some folks truly thought Embiid would never win MVP. Hell, the last time he slipped out of the top spot on the MVP ladder, a lot of Sixers fans threw their hands in the air and said, “Screw it, they’ll never give him the award,” myself included.
But if you ask Joel Embiid himself, he’ll tell you he always knew this was his destiny.
Of course, Joel Embiid winning MVP has caused quite a stir among the statsexual and hater communities. The fact that he’s managed to dominate the voting while being one of the most universally disrespected superstars the NBA has ever seen shows just how undeniably great he truly is.
To those tweeting hate about Embiid right now, this is the man you’re hating on. How can you live with yourself anymore?
He’ll also be the first to hoist the Michael Jordan Trophy, which is fitting. Embiid earned this every step of the way, and he gets a trophy named after one of the greatest grinders in sports history.
