Prison Break: Two men escape from Philadelphia prison, one charged in 4 murders

Two men reportedly escaped from Philadelphia Industrial Correction Center on Sunday night. To make matters worse, nobody even noticed they were missing until Monday afternoon.
Ameen Hurst and Nasir Grant are the two individuals that broke out of the Northeast prison:
How the hell did this happen? Well, for starters, Philly prisons have been blighted by lawsuits alleging awful conditions and immense staffing issues. It took them until the next afternoon to even realize they were gone, so it’s clear the ball was dropped
But, really, how did this happen? I’ve never understood how people break out of prison. There’s a shitload of high walls, locks, and fences.
I’ve driven past that place and literally thought to myself, “Wow, I bet that would be fucking hard to break out of.” Evidently, I was wrong.
Beyond that, though, we’ve all seen prison movies and TV shows. They count inmates daily, multiple times a day. I’m not exactly an advocate for the prison system, but that makes sense just so you know you have everybody.
Clearly, those precautions didn’t work, and Philadelphia just seems to get one more thing very critical thing wrong. It’s not like this is the end of the world, but the ineptitude is getting close to comical at this point.
But wait!! Super-Mayor Jim Kenney is here to save the day with a flawless plan and inspiring words!

Thanks, Jim! I don’t know what this city will do without you.
I’m usually all for a fun prison break story, but dudes locked up on homicide and gun charges aren’t exactly guys I find easy to root for all the time. Hopefully, they’re located and either convicted or acquitted according to the facts of their cases.
