Preview: Phillies go for series sweep with Aaron Nola on the hill at 3:10

The Philadelphia Phillies look for the sixth straight win and series sweep at 3:10 EST with Aaron Nola on the mound.
Today’s Starting Pitchers
- Aaron Nola (3-2, 4.44 ERA)
- Kyle Freeland (3-4, 3.57 ERA)
The Fightins won a dog fight last night in Colorado in the return of Ranger Suarez. The runs started early as the Phillies put up four runs in the first inning to get out to an early lead.
The Rockies slowly chipped back to make it 4-3, and neither team would score again until the 8th inning, as Garrett Stubbs singled to right field to make it a 5-3 game. Bryce Harper stepped up to the plate in the top of the 9th and absolutely demolished a baseball 439 feet off the second deck, pushing the Phils to a 7-4 win.
Bryce Harper and Nick Castellanos combined for five hits, 3 RBIs, three runs, and one homer in last night’s game, as the two are becoming the best 3-4 duo in the entire league. Casty and Harper are hitting a combined .400/.456/.650 over the last five games with 16 hits, 4 doubles, 2 HRs, and 8 RBIs.
The bullpen was great once again last night, as Connor Brogdon, Andrew Bellatti, Jeff Hoffman, and Gregory Soto combined for five innings pitched, one run allowed, and six strikeouts. Brogdon logged two innings, dropping his season ERA down to 2.61.
Listen…I know today’s Phillies game probably isn’t on everyone’s radar with the 76ers facing off against the Boston Celtics in a franchise-defining Game 7, but #NolaDay can’t be ignored.
