Fluker, 32, hasn’t suited up for a game since 2020 when he appeared in 16 games with the Baltimore Ravens. After dropping over 40 pounds and tirelessly working to get signed by a new team, the Eagles are going to give him a shot.
The former first-round pick already has some connections within the Eagles organization. He played under offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland during his collegiate career at Alabama. Fluker’s tenure with the Chargers (2013-’16) also happened to overlap with Nick Sirianni’s time as San Diego’s offensive quality control coach and QBs coach.
During his eight-year career in the NFL, Fluker has appeared in 108 games while making 96 starts. He’s spent time at tackle as well as guard throughout his career as well, showcasing the type of versatility the Eagles search for in their offensive lineman.
Given his relationship with Stoutland, I imagine the Eagles OL coach was the one who made this workout happen in the first place. He’s more than earned that type of power within the organization.
Fluker would be a great low-risk, high-reward depth signing if everything goes well with his workout.
