Heat vs. Celtics Best Bets: Two NBA Player Prop bangers for Game 5

The last time you heard from me about the NBA playoffs, I gave out two player props that both cashed.
No big deal to me, but we are back today, putting the streak on the line.
Caleb Martin Over 1.5 Made 3s | -142 at Caesars
*also available at FanDuel, BetMGM, & DraftKings*
Obviously, we don’t love the odds here at -142, but you can still find value on plays even at steep odds such as this. And, lucky for us, the value is here on this one.
Martin has been huge for the Heat throughout the playoffs, especially in this Celtics series. His stellar play for the Heat has also been rewarded with an increase in minutes. Here are his minutes played in the pastfive5 games: 24.4 (Game 6 against Knicks), 29.8, 32.1, 34.9, and 35.2.
So, his minutes have increased every game for the past five games, including a 5-minute jump from the Knicks series to the Celtics series. He has also hit this 3-point prop in every game against the Celtics in this series and six of his last seven games as well.
Jaylen Brown Under 23.5 Points | -118 at FanDuel
I worry about being too reactionary with this pick, but I also don’t believe the books have adequately caught up to Brown and his struggles.
Brown scored 22 points in Game 1 and hasn’t scored more than 17 in the three games since. That also means he has gone under 23.5 points in all four games against the Heat this series. What has completely failed Jaylen Brown is his jump shot, specifically from deep.
He shot 3/6 in game seven against the Sixers, and since then he has gone: 1/6, 1/7, 0/7, 1/5. For those of you counting at home, that would be a combined 2/25 in his last four games. That’s not good! #Math
