WATCH: Eagles’ Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown were hitting bombs at Phillies BP today

Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown are two of the best athletes on the Eagles roster, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone that the two can absolutely kill a baseball during batting practice.

After Hurts and Brown wrapped up one of their final OTA sessions over at the NovaCare Complex, the QB-WR tandem took a walk over the Citizens Bank Park to take some BP while the Phillies warmed up for matchup with Detroit.

The Eagles’ athletic duo were cranking them out of the park

Hurts and Brown both have a history with baseball. Brown was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 19th round of the 2016 MLB Draft, while he was subsequently enrolled at Ole Miss to play football. The wideout actually made upwards of $100,000 as a member of one of the Padres’ affiliates during his college days. Not a bad side hustle for a college kid.

Hurts gave up baseball when he was in high school to focus on football, but the Eagles QB1 has said before that he wishes he never walked away. In an interview with NBC Sports’ Dave Zangaro last October, Hurts said if he could play another sport, “I’d go team up with Bryce Harper and the Phillies and play shortstop or center field.”

If Hurts can still put up MVP numbers for the Eagles while helping the Phils’ hitting woes, I’ll allow it.
