Phillies vs. Tigers postponed due to air quality in the Philadelphia area

Tonight’s Phillies game vs. the Detroit Tigers has been postponed due to the air quality in the Philadelphia area.
Phillies vs. Tigers Game Postponed
The game will be made up on Thursday, June 8th, at 6:05 EST. If you had tickets to tonight’s matchup, they will be valid for tomorrow’s game. Gates for the game will open at 4:35.
The league made the right move by canceling tonight’s game, as the forecast is only calling for the air quality to get worse into the night.
Both the Phillies and Tigers already had a scheduled off day planned for tomorrow, so the rescheduling of this game wasn’t a difficult one to make. Tonight’s Yankees vs. White Sox game has been postponed as well as New York City currently looks like that apocalypse.
As of right now, Zack Wheeler will still get the start. The Phillies have won four games in a row and will go for the series sweep tomorrow vs. Detroit.
The Los Angeles Dodgers will come to town over the weekend for a 3-game set beginning on Friday night. The Phillies are currently 29-32 on the season and currently sit in fourth place in the NL East, trailing the division-leading Atlanta Braves by 7.5 games.
