The New York Mets have lost six straight, are 1-6 in June, and got swept by the Braves but Buck Showalter is ‘proud’ of his team

If you’re someone who just reads headlines, you would think that Buck Showalter and the New York Mets had a great series against the Atlanta Braves this week.
Buck Showalter spoke with the media last night and let reporters know how he felt about his baseball team and their performance in the month of June, specifically in their most recent three game series against the Atlanta Braves.
Buck Showalter: I’m Proud of Them
“I’m proud of them. I look at it as positives other than we just couldn’t get outs. Used every arrow we had” – Buck Showalter
That didn’t go over well with all of the lowlife scum of the Earth New York Mets fans and honestly, it’s hard to argue with their frustration but I’ll gladly sit back and watch them suffer on social media.
Reason being, the New York Mets got swept by the Atlanta Braves and now sit in 4th place in the National League East behind our Philadelphia Phillies.
Swept by the Atlanta Braves after leading by 3+ runs in EVERY game of the series? Yikes. That’s just pathetic. Losing six straight games? Ouch. That hurts too.
But hey, at least Buck Showalter is proud of you, right?
Who cares if you were leading by a run in the bottom of the ninth inning trying to snap a five game losing streak but instead, Orlando Arcia hits a two-run home run with a 3-2 count to bury you?
LOL Mets: Orlando Arcia Walk-Off Home Run
Doesn’t even matter because regardless of how disappointing and embarrassing you are on the baseball field, Buck Showalter will still be proud of you.
