Conor McGregor sent Heat mascot to emergency room following ‘bit gone wrong’ during Game 4

The Miami Heat got beat up in Game 4 against the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Finals, but they weren’t the only ones to take a major “L” that night.
The incident occurred during a timeout in the third quarter of the eventual 108-95 loss by the Heat to the Nuggets. Conor McGregor was in attendance and caught Heat Mascot Burnie with a mean left hook, dropping the giant white fur ball to the ground.

Well, apparently in what was supposed to be a lighthearted gig, the person under the Burnie mask was actually “seriously” hurt.
According to Sam Amick of The Athletic, the man playing Burnie landed a spot in the emergency room after McGregor punched him and was taken to the nearby emergency room.
Luckily, all he was given was some pain medication by the doctor and was sent home.
Note: There has been no word if Burnie was in the same ER as the alleged incredibly intoxicated Heat fan that caused a slight pause in the Game 4 action, but if we hear any news, we’ll definitely keep you updated.
Every website has written a quick post about this but not a single one is questioning this blatant cash grab from the Heat Mascot Burnie.
Burnie was sent home from the hospital with some pain medication?
That’s all it was? I mean to be honest, I definitely expected at least a concussion.
I’m definitely happy the guy who plays Burnie is okay but if he was looking for a quick payday, then he probably should have just reached out to Conor McGregor.
The former UFC Champion was literally in attendance to promote his new pain relief spray and even sprayed the mascot suit with it after Burnie hit the ground.
That seems like the perfect marketing opportunity to then use that spray when you were “hurt” because of the gig. Why even go to the emergency room? Just contact Conor and let him know that you need to make another video using the spray because you actually took a few punches?
Seems like a missed opportunity.
Anyways, the Miami Heat are now down 3-1 to the Denver Nuggets. Game 5 will be tomorrow night.
