To make room for Pache on the 26-man roster, Dalton Guthrie was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Cristian Pache went down with a tear in his right meniscus on April 29th after sliding into second base awkwardly in Houston.
Pache slashed .360/.360/.600 in 25 ABs with the Phillies before heading to the IL with 9 hits, two runs scored, one homer, and four RBIs. The 24-year-old struggled at the start of the season but really found his footing towards the end of April.
Having Pache back on the roster brings more depth to the team but also adds another right-handed bat that was a threat when healthy. With the Phillies set to face two lefties in Oakland this weekend, Pache could get a bulk of the time against his former team.
