Official Update from the Phillies
Christian Pache logged a hit and an RBI in two at-bats last night, elevating his season slashline to .360/.360/.600. Following Pache’s RBI double in the fifth, he was seen pulling up after rounding around second base and was limping back to the base after a weird landing while taking a lead. Brandon Marsh proceeded to run for Pache, who exited the game and never returned to the dugout.
Dalton Guthrie has hit .278/.380/.481 in 79 ABs in Triple-A with 22 hits, ten hits, two homers, and nine RBIs. Expect more playing time for Jake Cave out in left field until Pache returns, although the Phillies do like what they saw from Guthrie last summer.
The Phillies took game one of a three-game set vs. Houston last night by a final score of 3-1 and are back in action today at 5:10 EST with Zack Wheeler on the mound.
