Leaked Pictures from the Philadelphia 76ers’ War Room for the 2023 NBA Draft are depressing and a clear indication of how far this team has fallen

The NBA Draft was last night and the Philadelphia 76ers had zero picks and did absolutely nothing to improve their roster. In what could only be described as “depressing” Kyle Neubeck of The Philly Voice received leaked pictures from the Sixers’ “War Room” for the draft last night.
Philadelphia 76ers Draft War Room Pictures Leaked.
I mean seriously, as if the Philadelphia 76ers couldn’t get any more depressing, we now have leaked “War Room” images showing their plans to get a second round pick last night for cash considerations.
Think about that. It’s honestly pathetic.
What other NBA team has a draft board for second round picks for cash considerations?
Probably very few, if any.
The Sixers, a team that has been considered a championship contender while failing to make it out of the second round of the playoffs every god damn year, is now gearing up to enter next season by “running it back” with the same team that came up short last season.
James Harden is “very likely” to return to Philadelphia next season. We are still in contract hell with Tobias Harris for one more year, while Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey are still the two main pieces of this basketball team.
The Sixers will look to fill out their bench just like they did last season with players that will almost certainly make zero impact come playoff time. That is going to be a tough sell to this fanbase that was already sick of the Sixers even before last season’s playoffs started.
But hey, we’re being sold specifically on Nick Nurse coming to town to fix all of the issues this team has and turn them into a serious contender next year.
Good fucking luck.
Looking at the “War Room” draft boards, here’s what we have courtesy of Neubeck’s notes.
- PG Tyrese Maxey
- SG De’Anthony Melton / Furkan Korkmaz / Jaden Springer
- SF James Harden (red ink) / Danuel House Jr.
- PF Tobias Harris / P.J. Tucker
- C Joel Embiid / Paul Reed (red ink) / Filip Petrusev
The red ink indicates players not under contract. Free agents Georges Niang, Shake Milton, and Jalen McDaniels are listed below. If you are still reading at this point, is that a team that you’re excited about heading into next season?
The answer is an astounding NO.
At least we have Filip Petrusev in the mix as the third center behind Embiid and Reed, right?
RIGHT?! Hey at least we reached agreements to a bunch of undrafted players.
That will certainly get everyone excited.
