National League East Standings
Across the National League East, we’re finally witnessing a chink in the armor of the Miami Marlins, as the Atlanta Braves have been knocked down to earth by the Chicago White Sox and Arizona Diamondbacks.
Miami lost their fifth straight game last night thanks to a three-run home run from Nolan Arenado that walked off the Cardinals in the bottom of the 10th innings last night.
The first place Atlanta Braves also lost last night 16-13 to the Arizona Diamondbacks, marking the first time all season they have dropped three straight games, with the previous two losses coming at the hands of the lowly Chicago White Sox.
While there is certainly still ground to make up between first and second place in the NL East, the Phillies are now just 9.5 games behind the Atlanta Braves in the standings.
