SEPTA has now seen five bus and trolley crashes in one week. The latest came last night with an out-of-service trolly slamming into a historic house in Southwest Philly.

Thursday, July 27th
Out-of-service trolley care going 40 to 50 miles per hour crashed into a historic house in Southwest Philadelphia.
Tuesday, July 25th
SETPA Route 31 bus jumped the curb at 15th and Walnut jumped the curb and crashed into building.
Monday, July 24th
Two Trolleys collided in Upper Darby.
Sunday, July 23rd
SEPTA bus runs into an electrical pole in Fishtown at Frankford and West Girard Ave.
Friday, July 21st
Two SEPTA buses crash on Roosevelt Boulevard.
Expectations for public transit, specifically SEPTA, have always been the lowest possible bar but at the very least, they weren’t crashing into things multiple times per week.
People will ride your shitty busses, trains, and subway services as long as you don’t crash.
Is that too much to ask?
We’ll deal with the dirty, smelly, and honestly, disgusting conditions of your transportation services and pray that we don’t become physically ill because of it as long as you don’t crash whatever vehicle into the side of a building.
I think that’s a fair trade-off right?
