Rashaad Penny speaks on Eagles culture, hopes to stay in Philly longterm

With Miles Sanders departing in free agency, the Eagles had to find a way to replace his production.
GM Howie Roseman brought in two backs to fill the void, signing former Seahawks RB Rashaad Penny to a one-year deal and trading for D’Andre Swift in April.
Penny recently opened up about his time in Philadelphia so far, calling the Eagles an ‘A+ organization.’

“They just really care about player’s health. I think I could play 20 more years here just because of how good they take care of you and what they do on the off days, how they structure their days just to prepare and get ready for the next day.
I think every day I’ve been fresh since camp started; I know it started a week ago, but every day I just always felt better and better, just always felt lighter. I really give credit to these guys, they’re really an A+ organization the way they take care of their guys.”
Penny, 27, is a former first-round pick who has produced when healthy but has failed to play more than ten games in each of the last four seasons. Among running backs with 300+ rushing attempts in their career, Penny ranks first all-time in YPC with 5.7 yards per attempt.
PFF gave the Penny signing an A in both positional need/fit and value at just $1.35M in 2023. There’s no doubt that if he remains healthy, Penny should have an excellent season in Philly.

If he can stay healthy (big IF), Penny’s hard-nosed running style should thrive behind Jalen Hurts and Philly’s dominant OL. pic.twitter.com/B99IkkeRHk
