Report: Eagles edge-rusher suffers injury in training camp

The Eagles have been doing everything possible to avoid injuries in training camp.
Unfortunately, injuries are a part of the game, and the Eagles had a player go down in practice on Friday.
According to Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer, OLB Patrick Johnson injured his knee during a drill and was carted off the field. McLane initially reported that Johnson could be lost for the season but later corrected himself and stated the injury wasn’t considered serious.
CORRECTION: Patrick Johnson’s injury isn’t consider serious, sources said. Still waiting on further testing. https://t.co/GDPyjDhZdU

Johnson, a seventh-round pick in 2021, was having a strong summer, working his way into a stacked edge-rusher rotation that featured Haason Reddick, Josh Sweat, Brandon Graham, and top rookie Nolan Smith.
Across his first two seasons, Johnson has recorded 28 tackles (one for loss), three QB hits, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery while playing primarily on special teams.
This story is developing.
Patrick Johnson has had a pretty nice camp. Generating a lot of pressure off the edge. Was in position to strip-sack Hurts from behind today. #Eagles
