With the NFL Top 100 Players of 2023 countdown coming to a close on Monday, Eagles fans finally got to see where QB Jalen Hurts landed on this year’s list.
QB1 unfortunately didn’t come in at No. 1 on this year’s ranking, but he came pretty damn close.
Jalen Hurts lands at No. 3 on the NFL Top 100

Somewhat surprisingly, Hurts came in ahead of both Josh Allen (No. 9) and Joe Burrow (No. 6). Admittedly, I’m a little shocked too. But when you have the type of performance Jalen Hurts put forth in Super Bowl 57, evidently people take notice.
While coming in at No. 3 is astounding, Hurts isn’t the only Eagle to ever crack the top-three. Carson Wentz also placed No. 3 in the 2018 iteration, after his excellent 2017 campaign. RB Demarco Murray was the next closest, ranking No. 4 in 2015, the year the Eagles signed Murray.
For obvious reasons, hopefully Hurts’ career trajectory does not follow either Wentz or Murray’s after they placed inside the top-five. I highly doubt it will.
