Access Denied: Mark Wahlberg thinks filming 5 movies in Philly makes him an Honorary Philadelphian

Mark Wahlberg was guest bartending an event and shared a few words about the city of Philadelphia, claiming that because he made five movies in the city of Brotherly Love, he should be considered an Honorary Philadelphian.
Is Mark Wahlberg an Honorary Philadelphian?
Unfortunately, I’m not buying what Marky Mark is selling.
How anyone could possibly think that’s an acceptable reason to be considered a part of this city is beyond me but the statement caused quite a bit of conversation across social media.
Kyle Pagan over at Crossing Broad actually believes that Marky Mark should be a Honorary Philadelphian. He took it a step further by stating that “Invincible” is one of the “best Disney movies of all time” and he considers that movie a “must watch” whenever it’s on television.
Horrible take from an otherwise great guy.
The only good part from Invincible is this quote that was repurposed by this Eagles’ tailgate legend.
Eagles Fan: Mark Wahlberg Invincible Quote
Overall, the movie wasn’t really that good and his M. Night flick “The Happening”, outside of the beginning when people were throwing themselves off buildings in Rittenhouse Square at the beginning was mediocre at best.
Outside of that, I’m not even sure what other movies Marky Mark filmed in Philly.
Can you name the other three? I’m not looking it up but maybe Shooter was?
Regardless, just not going to work for me. I understand Wahlberg has a “lot of love for Philly” which is totally fine and we will gladly accept it, but outside of a few movies, there’s really no reason to allow him to jump in the mix as an Honorary Philadelphian.
Official Ruling: Access Denied.
