The Philadelphia Eagles will welcome in the home crowd for the first time in 2023 Thursday night, hosting the Minnesota Vikings for their home opener. Philly will also be greeted by a very familiar face prior to the start of the game.
Former Eagles great Malcolm Jenkins was named the honorary captain for Thursday night’s contest.

Jenkins spent most of his prime years in Philly. From 2014-’19, No. 27 was a constant presence in the Eagles secondary; a secondary that was mostly terrible outside of Jenkins for most of his tenure. He earned three Pro Bowl nods as an Eagle, and of course, he helped the team win their first Lombardi Trophy back in Super Bowl 52.
Who could ever forget this beaut.
The Philly faithful is going to be unhinged tomorrow night. Now that Jenkins is going to be in the house, The Linc will be dialed up to 100.
