WATCH: Bryce Harper debuts new home run celly as the Phillies mash five home runs against the Atlanta Braves

Bryce Harper was one of five Phillies to hit a home run last night as Zack Wheeler dominated the Braves on the mound to win game one of three in Atlanta, 7-1.
Harper hit .361 with 35 hits, 10 home runs, 24 RBIs and 23 runs scored over 26 games in the month of August. In September, it’s been somewhat of a different story for Harper and the Phillies.Â
The Phillies are just 8-9 in the month of September. Harper is hitting just .175 with 10 hits, 3 home runs, 8 RBI, and 10 runs scored over 17 games.
Still, the Phillies find themselves in the top NL Wild Card spot with a 3.5 game lead over the D-Backs.
The magic number to clinch a postseason ticket is now at 9 games.
Games Remaining: at ATL (2), vs. NYM (4), vs. PIT (3), at NYM (3)
Last night was definitely a step in the right direction after nearly 3-weeks of less than inspiring Phillies baseball. You can check out the full game recap here.
Johan Rojas started things off with a two-run opposite-field homer in the second to give the Phillies a 2-1 lead. Bryce Harper, J.T. Realmuto and Nick Castellanos each hit solo home runs and Kyle Schwarber destroyed a two-run homer over the Chop House in right field in the sixth inning to make it 7-1.

The Fightins crushed 5 Home Runs against the Atlanta Braves
While rounding the bases, Bryce Harper turned his body towards the Phillies’ away dugout and delivered a new celebration to the boys out in the bullpen. Harper appeared to be taking a puff of an imaginary blunt before motioning to pass it passing it to the fellas in the outfield.
Bryce Harper Blunt Celly to the Phillies Bullpen
Absolutely love it. Smoke that shit all over Truist Park, Harp!
You have to love that Harper pulled out a blunt celly against the Atlanta Braves, a team who is notoriously the lamest group of guys to ever celebrate home runs while rounding the bases.
Last week, Rob Thomson was poorly quoted by Philly Sports Talk Radio 94.1 WIP and had Braves fans in shambles on social media, saying that he likes when his players “act like they’ve been there before” in reference to Ronald Acuna Jr and the rest of Atlanta’s dumb home run celebrations.
Again, Topper was poorly quoted. You can check out that full story here.
Point being, it looks like Bryce Harper has been there before with that beautiful blunt-smoking form, so Rob Thomson is in the clear on this one. No harm, no foul, ya know?
Plus, the Trea Turner dugout celly was even more NSFW. We don’t care. Just ring it, baby.
Anyways, pretty cool celly from Harper. Dominating win from Zack Wheeler and the Phillies’ offense to win game one in Atlanta. Cristopher Sanchez (2-4, 3.40 ERA) will take the mound tonight against Spencer Strider (17-5, 3.73 ERA).
Bryce Harper is back!!!!
