The Eagles suffered their first loss of the season on Sunday, falling to the Jets 20-14. It was an ugly game all around, and DeVonta Smith’s uncharacteristic drops were two of the many ‘nail in the coffin’ moments for the Birds.

Smith still ended the day with five receptions for 44 yards, but those two drops were crucial – especially the one in the third quarter on 1st and 15. His Week 6 performances netted Smith a 51.6 Pro Football Focus grade, one of the worst marks of his career.
When asked about his drops and what he needs to do to prevent them moving forward, Smith didn’t beat around the bush.
Eagles WR2 gets straight to the point
DeVonta Smith is better than what we saw out of him Sunday. I’m sure him – as well as the rest of his teammates – will learn from this loss and improve in the upcoming weeks.
