Eagles Buzz: Brian Baldinger says Lane Johnson is ‘doing fine’ and will be ready for Week 7 matchup against Miami
After leaving Week 6’s contest against the Jets with an ankle injury, Eagles RT Lane Johnson is doing just fine according to NFL insider Brian Baldinger, and he should be ready to go come Sunday.
Baldinger on the Eagles right tackle: “[Lane Johnson] is doing fine, he’ll be ready for Miami.”

This is obviously great news for the Birds if Baldinger is right here. Johnson hasn’t practiced yet this week, but that could be more for precautionary reasons than anything else. He’s the caliber of player who will still get the start regardless of how much he practiced during the week.
The Eagles offense sputtered into the abyss after Johnson left the game in Week 6. Jack Driscoll was inserted into the lineup after Johnson’s exit and got abused by the Jets defensive line. In 60 snaps at RT, Driscoll allowed eight pressures, six hurries, and a sack. For reference, Johnson has allowed just eight pressures all season and hasn’t given up a single sack.
Aside from Jalen Hurts, Johnson is the most valuable player along the Eagles offense. You could even argue he’s more valuable than Hurts, in my humble opinion. Since joining the Birds back in 2013, the Eagles have a 63% winning percentage when he starts and a 37% winning percentage when he’s sidelined.
With the high flying Miami Dolphins coming to town this Sunday night, the Eagles desperately need Johnson back in their lineup.
