Remember James Harden? In a recent interview with Sam Amick of The Athletic, he was…

Sixers Roundup: Joel Embiid, Sketchers, City Edition Uniforms, and the missing James Harden
While it’s no secret that the city of Philadelphia is hyper-focused on the Philadelphia Phillies in the NLCS and the now 5-1 Philadelphia Eagles, the start of the 2023-24 NBA season is quickly approaching and we have a bunch of Sixers’ updates to run through heading into the weekend.
Sixers Release 2022-23 City Edition Uniforms Released
Honestly I don’t really hate the uniforms but that’s only because I’m a big fan of the navy blue and red color combination that we also saw a few years ago with the “Phila Spectrum” jerseys.

Regardless, my feelings towards the 76ers right now are pretty much next to nothing thanks to James Harden and Daryl Morey so my standards are incredibly low. Basically, I’ll take anything as long as those two aren’t being mentioned.
Joel Embiid signs with Sketchers
It was also revealed that Joel Embiid would be signing with Sketchers, who has officially entered the basketball world ahead of the 2023-24 NBA season.
Knicks All-Star Julius Randle and potential future Sixer Terance Mann (Harden trade looming) are expected to sign deals and be part of Skecher’s new basketball class, according to Shams Charania.

An official deal has not been signed yet, but Embiid wore a Skechers shoe for the first time during 76ers practice Wednesday with the brand’s performance staff on site as he begins to test out the sneaker, sources said. Embiid will begin wearing the new Skechers shoe in games once the deal is fully complete, according to a source.
Leaked Potential Skechers Sneaker for Sixers Star Joel Embiid
When I first heard the news that Embiid was expected to sign a deal with Skechers, I laughed just like you. But those sneakers leaked above are pretty good-looking for a basketball shoe. I’m not going to make this entire blog a sneaker geek fest because what truly matters is the reigning NBA MVP probably just got paid the bag for this brand deal.
Hopefully, they are very comfortable and keep our franchise cornerstone healthy, which is something all Sixers fans are praying for. Plus, it literally couldn’t get any worse than the way Under Armour treated Embiid over the past several seasons.

Honestly, TheLibertyLine has the best inventory regarding Philly sports athletes. Still, at this time, we have yet to have the resources or connections to supply our king with the proper footwear he needs to dominate on the hardwood so Sketchers will have to do….for now.
James Harden Missing from Practice (Multiple Times) this Week
Harden has reportedly been in the city of Houston since the Sixers practice on Sunday.
James Harden did not attend 76ers practice today and is away due to a personal matter.

Your guess is as good as mine what Harden has been actually doing instead of showing up to practice. Some are saying on Twitter that there could be something going on with his mother, but I won’t speculate.
Seven days away from the start of the regular season. Having fun yet?
Somebody tell James Harden that no one cares about his relationship with Daryl Morey >>
Trust The Process Sixers fans (We Have No Choice)
I’m sure you probably rolled your eyes attempting to watch/listen to my TikTok but quite frankly it’s not the message you wanted, but the one you needed. And while it was made months ago, I believe the mentality still applies to this day.
Everyone is so down on this Sixers team, and you have absolutely every reason to be. At the end of the day, the sun must still rise, and the Sixers still have an 82 game regular season ahead of them, and hopefully a decent seed heading into the playoffs.
With that said, there’s a new sheriff in town named Nick Nurse. This Harden nonsense should hopefully get solved here soon. The Sixers have this giant monkey to get off our backs, which is finally getting out of the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs and I’m not entering the 2023-24 like a complete and total coward. We must have hope that this can be achieved.
The NBA Finals may seem out of reach now that Dame and Giannis have teamed up in Milwaukee and Jrue Holiday joined forces with our enemies in Boston, but one step at a time, baby. Joel Embiid is in his prime, and I’ve been the biggest Tyrese Maxey supporter from day one, so he will take another big step this season and help the Sixers overcome their demons.
