Tyreek Hill will cover the salary of NFL photographer who was suspended for the rest of the season following his role in Week 6 touchdown celebration
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill announced that he would be covering the salary of the photographer who had his game credentials suspended by the NFL for the remainder of the 2023-2024 season.
Earlier this week, photographer Kevin Fitzgibbons, who was on contract by the NFL to shoot Dolphins home games, was suspended for the remainder of the season “and possibly for good” after the league deemed his role in Tyreek Hill’s touchdown celebration against the Carolina Panthers in Week 6 “inappropriate”.
Kevin Fitzgibbons Instagram Post about NFL Suspension
“The NFL then let me know I would be suspended for the remainder of the season, and possibly for good,” Fitzgibbons narrated in his video. “They said regardless [of] if I knew the celebration was coming or not, I still had to be disciplined and that I shouldn’t have jumped on the sidelines after the play.”
Basically, the violation wasn’t the result of Fitzgibbons giving Hill his phone, it was more of the fact that a member of the press was celebrating with a player on the field. I guess that makes sense, but I still don’t understand why the NFL has to be so hard-nosed over situations like this.
Fitzgibbons’ video went viral, gaining more than 4.5 million views on TikTok and amassing more than 100,000 likes on Instagram.
What makes the situation even more lame is the fact that the NFL used the video footage on their own social media accounts before deleting it. So the content was good to go until Fitzgibbons “handled himself inappropriately” which in my opinion, is just ridiculous.
Does this kid deserve to be suspended for the rest of the season? I certainly don’t think so but as usual, the NFL just loves to get in their own way when things like this happen. Shoutout to Tyreek Hill, who agreed to cover Kevin Fitzgibbons salary for the remainder of the season.

“I told him I was going to cover his salary, whatever the NFL was going to pay him…I told him I was going to make sure that I do what’s right and take care of you, make sure you’re not out of a job. That’s my guy.”
