Loser Monday: Eagles embarrass themselves yet again, lose 33-13 to the Dallas Cowboys
For the second straight week, the Philadelphia Eagles completely embarrassed themselves, this time at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys in a 33-13 loss on Sunday Night Football.
Listen, beating the Dallas Cowboys twice in the regular season was always going to be a tough task, even more so with last night’s game being played on the road but regardless, the fact that the Philadelphia Eagles came out completely flat after getting embarrassed at home last week against the San Francisco 49ers is completely unacceptable.
The Cowboys received the football and on the opening drive, marched straight down the field on a 10 play, 75 yard touchdown drive. They went a perfect 3-for-3 on third down conversions while running the ball five times for 45 yards. The Eagles defense was no where close to putting pressure on Dak Prescott and their inability to tackle was on full display yet again.
Dallas scored on three straight possessions. They led 10-0 after the first quarter and scored two more touchdowns in the second quarter to take a 24-6 lead into halftime. To put that into perspective, here’s what the Eagles defense managed to do on 10 straight drives dating back to last Sunday against the 49ers.

The way that the Philadelphia Eagles start each game is concerning and it has been concerning throughout the year. How many times is this team going to fall behind 10+ points in the first half and try to finally put things together over the final two quarters to steal a win this season?
Again, it’s not just the offense in the first half. The Eagles’ defense has allowed 64 POINTS in the final two minutes before halftime this season. That is the most in the NFL.
It’s really not even JUST the defense either. The Eagles offense has been diminished to one of the most boring playbooks I’ve seen in quite some time.
When your three best offensive weapons in Jalen Hurts, DeVonta Smith, and AJ Brown are fumbling the football on the Cowboys side of the football field (twice in the red zone) and the offense as a whole is continuously walking off the field with just three points on field goals instead of touchdowns in the red zone, it’s almost impossible to win football games.

Are the Philadelphia Eagles Frauds?
To be totally honest with you, I have zero fucking clue.
Right now, they appear to be frauds.
The preparation heading into the last two weeks has been non-existent. The Eagles are struggling on both sides of the football and have looked disinterested and flat out horrible all over the field while the coaching staff continues to embarrass themselves, entering each game seemingly unprepared while continuing to prove that they can’t make any type of in-game adjustments that actually work.
Then of course, you have the Philadelphia Eagles who are 10-3 on the season and remain in control of their own destiny with four games left before the playoffs. This version of the Birds somehow managed to beat Kansas City on the road while taking care of business against the Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys (Game 1), and Buffalo Bills in what was easily considered to to be the “tough part” of the regular season schedule.
Philadelphia Eagles “Tough Part” of the Schedule
- Miami Dolphins (W)
- Commanders (W)
- Cowboys (W)
- Chiefs (W)
- Bills (W)
- 49ers (L)

Final 4 Weeks – The Fight for the NFC Playoffs
All of the sudden, instead of locking up the number one seed in the NFC and home field advantage throughout the playoffs, the Eagles are in a tight battle with the Dallas Cowboys for the NFC East crown and are looking to avoid getting stuck with a Wild Card spot.
The Eagles still have a more favorable schedule over the final four weeks of the regular season but that doesn’t mean they can continue to play football games like they have over the past two weeks.
Philadelphia Eagles Remaining Schedule
- Eagles at Seahawks (MNF)
- Giants at Eagles (Christmas)
- Cardinals at Eagles (New Years Eve)
- Eagles at Giants (January 7th)
Dallas Cowboys Remaining Schedule
- Cowboys at Bills
- Cowboys at Dolphins
- Lions at Cowboys
- Cowboys at Commanders
The San Francisco 49ers are 10-3 on the season and have won five straight games. They are in complete control of the NFC West and will close out the regular season at Arizona, home against Baltimore, at Washington, and home against the Rams.
The Detroit Lions are 9-4 on the season after getting their shit kicked in by the Chicago Bears yesterday. They will play the Broncos at home next week, following by two straight games on the road against the Vikings and Cowboys before closing out the regular season at home against Minnesota on January 7th.
Next up the Eagles will head to Seattle to take on the Seahawks in a game that was flexed to Monday Night Football. Playing in Seattle is always a tough task for any East Coast team and we’ll see how the Eagles respond after two straight weeks of pure misery.
