WATCH: Christian McCaffrey correctly calls Eagles’ plays before they happen, proves offense is predictable
The Eagles have 99 problems right now, and the lack of offensive identity is one of them.
During their stunning 20-17 loss to the Drew Lock-led Seahawks, Philadelphia’s offense sputtered in the second half and failed to deliver the knockout blow. On their final possession, Seattle went on a 92-yard drive that culminated in a game-winning TD by Jaxon Smith-Njigba with 28 seconds remaining.
The Eagles still had time to get into field goal range and potentially send the game into overtime, but Jalen Hurts elected to bomb it downfield to AJ Brown instead, resulting in safety Julian Love’s second interception.
After the game, Love stated that he knew the call was going to #11 [AJ Brown] and watched him the whole time. This isn’t the first instance of the Eagles’ offense being predictable.
49ers RB Christian McCaffrey joined Peyton and Eli Manning on ESPN’s “ManningCast.” Prior to one of Philadelphia’s snaps, McCaffrey correctly identified the play before it even happened:
How predictable is this Eagles offense?

Yikes — not a great look.
You could point to a number of reasons for the disjointed offense: Shane Steichen’s departure, inconsistency in the running game, or the scheme essentially being “just throw it up to AJ.” Hurts questioning the commitment of his teammates isn’t an encouraging sign either.
Whatever the case, Philly now sits at 10-4 and the No. 1 seed is virtually out of reach. If the Eagles and Cowboys end with the same record, Philly will win the division based on the strength of victory.
In their current state, however, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Eagles drop a game to Tommy Devito and the Giants.
