Report: Eagles starting left guard undergoes surgery, will miss Week 16 vs. Giants

The Eagles are dealing with another injury heading into their Week 16 matchup against the Giants.

First reported by NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, starting left guard Landon Dickerson is undergoing thumb surgery today but will miss minimal time and avoid injured reserve.

Dickerson will miss the upcoming game vs. New York and be evaluated after that, per reports.

The Eagles were already without starting right guard Cam Jurgens due to a pectoral injury, so it looks like it’ll be Sua Opeta at LG and Tyler Steen at RG if Jurgens can’t go.

Coming off a Pro Bowl year in 2022, Dickerson was putting together another solid campaign, playing in all 14 games and allowing zero sacks in 497 offensive snaps this season. The Eagles hope to have him back for their impending playoff run.
