Eagles Buzz: Reasoning for AJ Brown’s social media purge revealed
Star WR AJ Brown reportedly has no gripe with the Eagles organization.
The All-Pro wideout deactivated his Twitter/X account and removed all football/Eagles-related content from Instagram yesterday, leading many to believe he wants out of Philadelphia.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo revealed on Saturday that Brown approached the Eagles’ Media Relations Department and made them aware he’s stepping away from social media.
On A.J. Brown deleting his account here on X and stripping his Instagram, I’m told his reasoning isn’t anti-#Eagles in any way… https://t.co/iMrXfILIKu

Brown sprained his knee in the regular season finale against the Giants and despite trying to go all week, he won’t be able to suit up Monday night. This is obviously a massive blow for an Eagles offense that was struggling even with Brown in the lineup.
Social media can be incredibly toxic and exhausting; I don’t blame AJ for blocking out the noise and dealing with this disappointment on his own. If the Eagles advance, there’s a chance Brown could be ready for the divisional round.
