Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic squared off in one of the best games of the entire NBA season, and the former led the Sixers to a win with a dominant 42-point performance. Even after cooking a rival big man, The Process still found a way to stay humble in victory.

Joel Embiid showed Nikola Jokic love after the game, telling him he’s the best player in the league:

“I just told him he’s the best player in the league.”

Now, I watched the game and witnessed each and every play, so miss me with the box score watching allegations. I’m not a statsexual; I’m a fan of the game actually being played on the court.

That said… here’s a quick look at the stats from tonight:

Joel: 41 PTS, 7 REB, 10 AST
Jokić: 25 PTS, 20 REB, 3 AST

Sure, Jokic has the ring and the MVPs, so he’s earned the title of best player in the NBA. But, that being said, Joel Embiid is playing the best out of anybody in the league right now. And that’s saying something because there are a ton of guys cooking with grease.

Unfortunately, Embiid is just better than all of them. Plain and simple.
