Jared Goff laughing at the podium

Jared Goff responds to reporter saying the 49ers have more superstars, cements himself as a fan-favorite across America

Detroit Lions QB and Ryan Gosling lookalike Jared Goff has long been one of my favorite characters in the NFL since being traded from the LA Rams. Not only has his play dramatically improved, but his personality has come out more, especially when dealing with the media.

In a press conference before Conference Championship Weekend, reporter Bob Wojnowski told Goff that the Lions have a lot of really good players, to which he said thank you. However, the reporter immediately turned around and said they don’t have superstars like the 49ers.

Jared Goff immediately took back his thanks, which, in my eyes, all but guarantees the Lions win on Sunday:

Jared Goff hasn’t been shy when it comes to shutting down the media while in Detroit. He’s cut off an interview early because the interviewer brought up Skip Bayless and even went after Ryan Fitzpatrick for calling him a “poor man’s Matt Ryan.”

He went on to bring up that two of his teammates were First-Team All-Pro. While they may not have the name-brand flash the Niners do, they’ve got ballers up and down the roster.

This whole Detroit team has swagger, and the previously quiet, mild-mannered Goff has definitely exuded some of that as this season has gone on. If this keeps up, I have a feeling we’ll see a Ravens-Lions Super Bowl this season.

Also, talk about some crappy reporting. Sure, he’s right that the 49ers have a lot of big names on the roster, but the Lions are loaded with studs as well. The question could definitely use some better wording as far as I’m concerned.

Very real and legitimate journalist. I don't see a loss on the schedule.
