The War Against Zyn: Stand for Something or Fall for Anything
The Liberty Line learned the hard way yesterday that even by posting a picture of a politician, in this case Chuck Schumer, you will be met with a wave of people extremely unhappy on Instagram, even if it’s simply about Zyn.
Why? I have no fucking idea. It was in the middle of the afternoon yesterday and all post featured was a picture of Chuck Schumer at a Zyn podium with a quote from him saying “a pouch full of problems”.

Apparently that wasn’t appropriate to post from a sports account and we were met with a bunch of unfollows and people basically telling us to “shut up and dribble” because we’re a sports account that is now “getting too political” for engagement.
Right.
Here’s a few gems from yesterday’s comment section, which was filled with a bunch of soft ass people who have zero sene of humor and couldn’t drive engagement to a post if they were posting pictures from the top account on OnlyFans.

Multiple Accounts: “Do you mean Donald Trump?”
Ed5150parry: “What does this have to do with sports?”
Dancervolo: “Isn’t this a sport act?”
Mjc27: “Way to stay non-political”
There were over 75 comments but you get the point. Coincidentally, we were right at 17,300 followers on Instagram and now are down to 17,221.
Marketing, baby.
But no seriously…what the hell is wrong with people? No one can make a joke anymore, even more so when it comes to politicians focusing on ridiculous topics such as Zyn while the world falls apart around them.
Listen, I understand that sport accounts on social media and sports in general are an escape from the political shit show of this country but we aren’t even making any type of statement or are choosing sides.
Right or left, if you want to ban Zyn then you’re an enemy of the state. It’s really that simple

See? It’s funny. Everyone laugh and get over it already. Stop being so soft and letting politicians who do not give a shit about you control your emotions.
Everyone needs to stop being such bitches about political stuff. It’s 2024 and we are gearing up for another miserable election year. If politics are a topic of interest that you do care deeply about, that’s fine too.
I urge you to reach out to your local politicians to address the fentanyl and opioid epidemic that’s killed hundreds of thousands of people? I have literally lost BEST FRIENDS due to that shit and there are countless numbers of other families that have suffered the same fate and pain as I have multiple times in the past.
That’s where the anger should be focused.
Not on Chuck fucking Schumer wanting to ban Zyns.
This dude is clueless, much like every other politician on both sides of the aisle.
I started The Liberty Line to write about Philadelphia sports. Obviously. But I also started a website because myself and the lilke-minded individuals who also write here have a platform to crack jokes and touch on topics we find funny and interesting. Nothing more, nothing less.
HOWEVER, if any political cause wants to pay us millions of dollars to push whatever narrative they want, we will dance to that song any day of the week. (This is a joke!)
