Violation: Milwaukee officially announced Rhys Hoskins signing, edited legendary ‘Bat Slam’ video with Brewers jersey

Earlier this week, Rhys Hoskins was dealt to the Milwaukee Brewers on a 2-year contract worth $34 million. Yesterday, the deal was made official, with both team announcing the free agent signing on social media.

As for the Milwaukee Brewers, honestly, they need to do better.

This was the video they posted with the caption “You want a first baseman? You GOT a first baseman”.

Listen, maybe I’m just being petty and defensive of Rhys Hoskins but that’s a violation. You can’t take one of the biggest playoff moments in Philadelphia Phillies franchise history and overlay a poverty franchise uniform over Rhys Hoskins.

I understand that the Brewers haven’t won a World Series ever or a pennant in 30+ years. If you want to photoshop a Brewers jersey on Rhys then go right ahead, just leave what happened in Philly in Philly, ya know? 

Creating moments like this in Milwaukee isn’t too far out of reach for Hoskins and the Brewers. I doubt it will happen in the postseason over the next two seasons, but Hoskins does have a pretty solid track record playing in Milwaukee. Over 9 games, Hoskins hit 5 home runs while batting .342 with a 1.194 OPS.
