LeBron James calls out media and podcast hosts over ridiculous treatment of Joel Embiid’s injury

It’s not every day you get to see LeBron James sharing his opinion on something directly related to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Today is that day. The King himself was speaking, or should say tweeting, nothing but facts.

Now he’s out with an injury because of it. Not 1 person has went back on tv or their dumbass podcast and apologized to that MAN!! No accountability 🗑️🗑️🗑️

Great point here from LeBron James. 

Joel Embiid, for whatever odd reason, is constantly in a lose-lose situation. He’s ripped for “ducking” other NBA players and missing basketball games. The NBA CBA will prevent him from winning another MVP award due to games missed. Come playoff time, if Embiid is hurt (and playing) he’s criticized for his performance. If Embiid is injured and cannot play, then he’s “injury prone” and “soft” and not built to last an NBA season. 

So please, tell me how Joel Embiid is supposed to get the respect of a generational NBA player? 

I also find it interesting that soon-to-be free agent is taking to social media to defend Joel Embiid. The two will be playing together this summer at the 2024 Olympics in Paris as members of the Team USA Basketball team and all of the sudden, it feels like we’re on a collision course for LeBron James to join the Philadelphia 76ers next season. 

Maybe I’m just getting ahead of myself… 

A Tradition Unlike Any Other…

Welp, who knows where the Sixers will go from here. I guess we’re all waiting (again) to hear the “plan” from the 76ers’ medical staff on how they will manage Joel Embiid’s meniscus tear injury and we won’t know what to expect moving forward until early next week. The fact that we don’t know already, probably means it’s pretty bad and the medical staff is carefully evaluating any and all options before making a final decision on Embiid this season.

My guess, we’ll see Embiid come back in a few weeks, playing injured (and poorly), and we’re in for yet another miserable end to the Philadelphia 76ers season. However, the Sixers do have options. We’ll see how they manage things ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline and performances last night from Tyrese Maxey certainly provide a glimmer of hope for the remainder of the regular season.
