Eagles set to host NFL’s first ever game from Brazil in Week 1 of next season
First the first time in NFL history, two teams will square off in São Paulo, Brazil in 2024, and the Philadelphia Eagles will technically be one of them.
The Eagles are heading to Brazil to open the 2024 season

It’s still unknown who the Eagles will be ‘hosting’ in their Week 1 matchup, but we can make some guesses based on the team’s home opponents:
- Cowboys
- Commanders
- Giants
- Browns
- Falcons
- Jaguars
- Steelers
- Packers
- Panthers
I doubt the NFL will have a divisional game played overseas, so we can scratch all the NFC East teams off the list. Both the Jaguars and Panthers are already set to play in Europe next season; I can’t imagine the NFL will have one team play multiple games in a different country. That leaves us with the Browns, Falcons, Steelers, and Packers.
None of those matchups really jump off the screen at you with the exception of the Packers. The Eagles and Packers have a very lowkey rivalry as well, dating all the way back to the Lombardi days, as the Eagles were the only team to ever beat Lombardi in the postseason. Fun fact.
That would be my pick.
