WATCH: Asante Samuel goes off on Donovan McNabb, blames former Eagles QB for Andy Reid never winning a Super Bowl in Philly

On the most recent episode of former Eagles CB Asante Samuel’s podcast, “Said What Needs To Be Said,” Samuel aired out all the dirty laundry on his former teammate Donovan McNabb.

As we all know, McNabb didn’t have the best relationships with some of his teammates throughout the years, most notably Terrell Owens. And I guess we have to add Asante Samuel to that list now too.

During the episode, he and his co-host reflected on Andy Reid’s time in Philadelphia and discussed why the former Eagles head coach never won a Super Bowl during his time here. This entire segment essentially consisted of Samuel bashing McNabb. From his poor practice habits, to the way he partied off the field, Samuel didn’t hold back.

Samuel says a lot of stuff here. Long story short, the Eagles organization coddled McNabb to a certain extent – from Samuel’s POV, anyway. I tend to believe him, too.

He compares McNabb’s practice habits and his overall persona to Tom Brady a lot throughout the episode. Up to that point in Samuel’s career, all he ever knew was Brady and the New England Patriots. Apparently, it was a night and day difference.

It’s not really that shocking to hear – I never took McNabb that seriously, he was kind of always just a goofball to me. But nevertheless, it’s disheartening to find out the organization just let it happen.
