Phillies release new Spring Training and Batting Practice baseball caps for the 2024 season
The Philadelphia Phillies are just a week away from playing down in Clearwater, Florida for Spring Training and this week, we’ve gotten two confirmed updates on baseball caps for the 2024 season.
First up, we have the Phillies’ official Spring Training cap, which will be all red with the classic Liberty Bell in blue on the front. The right side will feature the MLB ’24 Spring Training logo and the left will show the signature New Era icon.

Personally, I love this hat and if Nike or Major League Baseball was smart, they would use something similar for the City Connect Jersey – all red, like the jersey’s the Phillies axed ahead of their anticipated “4+1” new uniform this season.
Side Note: Could you imagine this hat in all maroon with all maroon uniforms featuring a powder blue Liberty Bell? Instead, Nike apparently thought it would be a good idea to release these jerseys which feature the colors of the Philadelphia flag. Yikes!

On top of that, Uniwatch revealed the 2024 Phillies batting practice baseball cap, which features navy blue and red colors and the face of the Phillie Phanatic on the front.
A handful of this year’s MLB batting practice caps (not to be confused with the spring training caps or clubhouse caps) appeared on a lifestyle website earlier this week. Now almost the entire set — for every team but the Mets — has appeared on ShopJustSports.com. [Uniwatch]

Pretty solid all around. I will say, as much as I love the Phanatic – the logo on the hat seems to be geared towards a younger audience. It isn’t something I would personally wear, but for batting practice – it’s perfect.
Still, I would much rather go with a navy blue uniform with hints of white and red over the Nike City Connect jerseys above. If that has to include the Phillie Phanatic then I would gladly accept it over whatever has been leaked already.
