NBA Trade Rumors: Sixers linked to several players ahead of Thursday’s deadline
Sixers fans rejoice. It appears Daryl Morey is really working the phones ahead of the NBA trade deadline.
What once seemed like a deadline that would be relatively quiet on the Sixers’ end due to the Joel Embiid injury is now all of a sudden picking up some serious steam. As it should.
Morey should always be doing everything he can to improve the chances of the team competing for a championship now and in the coming years.
"You can expect them to be really aggressive over the next 24 hours.. They want more playmaking, more shooting. They're looking to add all over the place."

There was also a report earlier today that came from Brian Windhorst that stated he expects the Sixers to make one to three trades before Thursday afternoon. This could be an indication that they are doing one of several different things.
The first is that they are trying to bring in multiple role players. Or, they are setting themselves up to pull off an even bigger deal. I’d imagine knowing Morey that, in reality, it is a combination of both.
It has been rumored throughout this season, even prior to the Embiid injury, that Morey is planning on taking full advantage of the team’s potential $50 Million in cap space this summer, which you’d hope would be the goa — but that doesn’t mean you completely punt on the trade deadline.
Especially with all of the expiring contracts on the roster that, at the very least, could be moved for draft capital or packaged for better players.
Player the Sixers are currently “keeping an eye on” per multiple reporters
I also wouldn’t rule out a player like Dejounte Murray who, all of a sudden, was listed on the injury report, which could indicate a trade is coming to the Sixers or elsewhere.
Regardless, we’ll keep you posted as the NBA trade deadline draws closer.
