
Los Angeles Clippers unveil new logo, uniforms, and court design as part of massive franchise rebrand
The Los Angeles Clippers’ dropped a massive rebrand of their logo and uniforms yesterday in a reveal that will coincide with the franchise’s move to their new $2 billion area, the Intuit Dome, in Inglewood, California heading into the 2024-2025 season.
The Clippers’ new home in Inglewood not only signified a change in venue, but paved the way for a complete rebranding initiative. Yesterday, we got the first look at the Clippers new uniforms and logos which leans heavily into their nautical roots by featuring a navy blue ship with basketball lines etched into its hull, sitting inside of a C-shaped compass.

- New logo illustrates movement and precision while paying homage to the team’s nautical heritage.
- New Clippers “C” featured in the primary logo surrounding the ship will also be used as a single letter monogram for alternate logos.
- The silhouette of the oncoming ship is a nod to the team’s origins in the San Diego Harbor.
- Compass cardinal directions, pointing North to the “N” in Los Angeles.
- The hull of the ship, set off with the seams of a basketball.
- Custom typeface inspired by naval typography.

Los Angeles Rebrand: Alternative Logos

Clippers owner Steve Ballmer recently spoke with ESPN’s Zach Lowe about considering a name change before realizing how strongly fans felt about keeping the Clippers name in the NBA. From there, Ballmer switched to a rebrand focused on the franchise’s roots. The phrase “Make Waves” is even being used as part of the franchise’s new identity.
