Cox informed teammates after the season he was retiring and made it official today.
The Eagles selected Cox at No. 12 overall in the 2012 draft and only missed six games during his Eagles’ tenure. Cox will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the all-time greats in franchise history:
- 70 sacks
- 173 QB hits
- 88 tackles for loss
- 16 forced fumbles
- 6x Pro Bowl
- 1x All-Pro
- Super Bowl Champion
- HOF All-2010s Team
Cox is ranked third in Eagles history in games played and fifth in total sacks (most among DTs). Often underappreciated, Cox remained consistent and durable while growing into a vocal leader.
Congratulations on an incredible career.
