NFL Draft: Potential Eagles target cleared for football activities

If you’ve been following Eagles mock drafts recently, you will likely have seen the Birds select Iowa defensive back Cooper DeJean.

The versatile 6’0″ cornerback is coming off of a broken fibula he suffered this past November, lowering his draft stock just enough for him to be in the grasp of the Eagles at No. 22 overall in this month’s draft.

According to Adam Schefter, DeJean has been cleared to play and will host an individual workout on April 8th for interested teams.

With the Eagles using a Top 30 visit on DeJean, it’s expected that Howie Roseman and company will attend the workout, further solidifying their interest in him.

According to multiple reports, there are members within the Eagles organization who rave over the versatile corner. If selected, DeJean could be an important piece to Vic Fangio’s secondary.
