76ers handle business against the Nets in regular season finale, playoff seeding in the East officially set
The Sixers entered today’s regular season finale shorthanded, with Joel Embiid, De’Anthony Melton, and KJ Martin all sidelined.
Luckily, Tyrese Maxey handled business himself. Maxey torched the Nets for 26 points to lead the Sixers to a 107-86 victory.

Tobias Harris finished the game with 21 points and eight rebounds. Kelly Oubre Jr added eight points and five rebounds, while Paul Reed scored 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the win. Buddy Hield put together a strong performance against the Nets, scoring 19 points to go along with seven rebounds and five assists.Â

Unfortunately, the playoff seeding was basically set by halftime. The Indiana Pacers destroyed the Atlanta Hawks 157-115 and the Orlando Magic took care of business against the Milwaukee Bucks, winning 113-88.
That means the 76ers will finish the regular season in the No. 7 seed and host the Miami Heat in the Play-In Tournament on Wednesday night at 7 pm in South Philadelphia.

Listen, the Play-In Tournament sucks. You literally don’t want to be a team that finishes in one of those seeds and now the 76ers are slated to face the Miami Heat – which you can already see Jimmy Butler and his band of misfits foaming at the mouth to upset the Sixers.Â
Not great.Â
However, the 76ers are healthy for the first time in a long time and there’s reason to believe that they are finally ready to make a run in the playoffs with Embiid and Maxey leading the charge under Nick Nurse.
We’ll be back with more ahead of Wednesday’s game.
