WATCH: Georgia pitcher caught cheating by Texas A&M fans
Georgia baseball, you’ve got some ‘splaining to do. Footage emerged from late in a tight game against Texas A&M of Georgia pitcher Christian Mracna applying some sticky stuff to his glove before taking the field and dominating the last two innings to win the game.
This Georgia pitcher was caught dead to rights, complete with a Jomboy breakdown of their misdeed:

Woof. I don’t think I’ve ever seen somebody cheat so blatantly and with so little awareness. To be honest, it’s almost impressive.
This is like your buddy who absolutely lost his golf ball in the fescue, crouching to “check” if the ball there is his while fumbling to sneak one out of his pocket without everyone noticing—which, of course, they did.
I’m not even an anti-sticky stuff guy at heart. Having a little extra grip when trying to throw something as hard as possible is good for everybody involved, the hitter included.
But there’s a difference between ye olde sunscreen and rosin mixture and using sticky stuff to juice your spin rate. This Georgia pitcher clearly used it for the latter, and so he’s getting rightfully called out for it.
Apparently, the SEC has been made aware of the transgression, so we’ll see how this turns out.
