Tyrese Maxey broke Jon Stewart with game-tying three to send Game 5 to OT
Tyrese Maxey lit Madison Square Garden on fire with a 46-point performance to lead the 76ers to victory in Game 5 against the Knicks. While his performance was impressive all night was impressive, his seven points in 17 seconds to send the game to overtime was mind-melting stuff, capped off with a game-tying logo three.
Tyrese Maxey stunned pretty much everyone in attendance, but he put The Daily Show host Jon Stewart into a mental prison by the looks of it:

What a shot. What a moment. What a brutal realization of what was to come for Stewart.
I can’t imagine what it’d be like to sit courtside watching Maxey drill a three in such a manner against my favorite team. Ideally, if I do sit courtside, it’ll be watching him as a lifelong Sixer after this signature playoff win.
Maxey snapped tonight in a way I’ve never seen from him before. It’s like we saw him become a man before our very eyes.
That’s not to say he hasn’t been playing like a grown man all season; he won Most Improved Player after all. But this was a new side of him that took him from a fun, lovable young kid to a stone-cold killer who would do whatever it took to win, no matter the stage.
Unfortunately for Jon, he had a front-row seat to his ascendance.
