94.1 WIP Radio Host Joe Giglio continues his quest for the most contradicting, embarrassing takes in sports talk history with latest backtrack on the Philadelphia Phillies

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: In a matter of weeks, Joe Giglio is completely contradicting what he said about the Philadelphia Phillies.

I mean seriously, how many examples do we need of Joe Giglio being a complete and total fraud on radio? How on earth does this guy get the afternoon slot on the number one Philly Sports Talk radio station in the city? 

These are the questions I ask myself on a daily basis.

It’s seriously a joke.

Giglio, known for flip-flopping on Rhys Hoskins, Bryce Harper, Trea Turner, Joel Embiid, [Insert Athlete Name], [Insert Athlete Name], [Insert Athlete Name]….okay you get the point. 

Just last month, Giglio (lord save us lol) was on the airwaves screaming and crying about the Phillies and how this team “doesn’t have what it takes” to be a World Series contender.

This moron didn’t think Bryce Harper would sniff 30 home runs this season and even said that Harper hasn’t been a 30 HR guy since joining the Phillies.

That was on April 16th which even at that time, we knew was complete bullshit. 

In his final year with the Washington Nationals, Bryce Harper hit 34 home runs. He followed that up by hitting 36 home runs in his debut season with the Philadelphia Phillies. From there, 2020 was the COVID season, where Harp hit 13 homers in 58 games. 

Harper hit 35 home runs in 2021. He hit 18 homers in 2022 while basically playing half of the regular season and last year, he hit 21 in 126 games after a miracle recovery from shoulder surgery. 

Harper was off to a slow start this season…over the first two weeks of the season, sure.

Now? Well, he literally just hit a grand slam while I am writing this post and the past two nights, he hit a 3-run home run in both games.

Bryce Harper has 9 home runs on the season and 28 RBI. He’s on pace to hit 40+ home runs. It’s like Giglio isn’t even trying to make sense at this point, right? 

Making foolish statements on radio is a bad look but unfortunately, that’s on par for what we’re given here in the city of Philadelphia and unfortunately, until people stop listening and engaging on social media, nothing will ever change.
